What We Install

Each page below covers the material, where it belongs, what it costs and how long it takes.

Attic Insulation

Attic insulation is the service we install most often, because the attic is where a house loses the largest share of its heat and where a top-up returns the most for the money. We air seal the ceiling, fit baffles at the eaves and blow cellulose to the recommended depth, and every job is fully insured.

Spray Foam Insulation

Spray foam insulation is the material we install where air, moisture and heat all have to be stopped in one layer, which in Innisfil means rim joists, crawl spaces, foundation walls, cathedral ceilings and steel buildings. Closed cell and open cell foam are both available, the substrate is measured before anything is sprayed, and the work is insured.

Blown-In Insulation

Blown-in cellulose or fiberglass is loose fill delivered through a hose, and it is how we insulate most Innisfil attics, fill the empty walls of older houses and pack the cavities of new builds. It reaches any depth you ask for, flows around obstacles that batts cannot, and costs far less than foam over the same area. We carry full insurance on every job.

Batt Insulation

Batts are fiberglass or mineral wool cut to fit between studs and joists, and they are the simple choice for open framing in a basement, a garage, an addition or a new build. Batts are inexpensive, they go in quickly, and fitted properly they perform to their rating. The work is insured.

Insulation Removal

Insulation removal is the vacuuming or bagging of old attic, wall and crawl space material that is wet, soiled by animals, mouldy, burnt, failed or simply in the way of a renovation, and we do it as its own service or as the first step of a new install. The material is taken away and the framing is cleaned before anything new goes in. Insurance covers the work.

Basement Insulation

Basement insulation covers the foundation walls, the rim joist and, where it helps, the ceiling of a lower level, and it is the cure for cold floors on the main level of a house. We install closed cell spray foam directly on the concrete or batts in a framed wall depending on the basement, and the rim joist is foamed either way. The work is fully insured.

Crawl Space Insulation

Crawl space insulation is the work that makes the floors of a shallow-foundation house or cottage warm, and Innisfil has more crawl spaces than most Ontario towns because of the lakeshore building stock. We seal the ground, insulate the walls or the floor above with closed cell spray foam, and turn a vented crawl space into a sealed one. All of our work is fully insured.

Wall Insulation

Wall insulation is how we fill the empty or under-filled exterior walls of an existing house without stripping the drywall, and how we fill the open walls of an addition or new build. Dense-pack cellulose goes into closed walls through small holes, and netted cellulose, batts or spray foam go into open ones. We carry full insurance on every job.

Garage Insulation

Garage insulation covers the walls and ceiling of an attached garage, the ceiling under a bonus room, and detached garages and workshops that are heated, and it is one of the most common calls we get from the newer subdivisions. We install batts, mineral wool or spray foam depending on the assembly, and every job is fully insured.

Soundproofing Insulation

Soundproofing insulation is mineral wool or dense-pack cellulose installed inside interior walls, floors and ceilings to keep the noise of one room out of the next, and it goes into renovations, new builds and finished basements across Innisfil. It goes in while the framing is open or through small holes in a finished wall, and insurance covers the work.

Air Sealing And Attic Ventilation

Air sealing and attic ventilation are the two pieces of work that decide whether attic insulation performs, and in Innisfil they are also the cure for ice dams. We seal the ceiling from the attic side, insulate and seal the hatch, and fit baffles at the eaves so the soffit vents keep working above the new depth. We carry full insurance on every job.

Cottage And Four-Season Insulation

Cottage insulation is the work of bringing a seasonal building along the Lake Simcoe shore up to a standard it can be lived in through an Innisfil winter, from the crawl space to the roof, and it is a job this town has more of than almost any other. We plan it in stages that match a budget and a season, and every stage is fully insured.

Commercial And Agricultural Insulation

Commercial insulation in Innisfil covers the steel and block buildings at Innisfil Heights along Highway 400, the shops and retail space along Innisfil Beach Road and in Cookstown, and the barns, drive sheds and workshops on the surrounding farms. We install spray foam, batts and blown-in insulation to suit the building and schedule the work around the business. Every job is fully insured.
